FAQ
Who still qualifies for the mortgage tax refund in Yerevan?
Only buyers of buildings whose construction permit was issued before 1 January 2022. Yerevan is otherwise phased out, with zone-specific cut-offs that ran from July 2022 to January 2025.
How much can I get back per quarter?
1,500,000 AMD per quarter for mortgages taken between 2018 and 2024, and 750,000 AMD per quarter for mortgages taken from 2025 onwards. The refund can never exceed the income tax actually withheld from your salary.
Can the refund be used more than once?
No. It is available once per person, and only when buying a newly built home from the developer.
When does the refund end in Kotayk, Ararat, Armavir and Aragatsotn?
Mortgages originated on or after 1 January 2027 are not eligible in those four regions.
